Niepoort has been an independent family business since 1842, with the fifth generation currently at the helm, and the sixth already starting to learn the craft. They have converted to biodynamic viticulture, realizing the importance of respecting the soil and the environment, which can produce a better product. This tawny port ages in oak for 3-5 years, keeping the emphasis on freshness, lightness, and balance. It has delicate nutty aromas, a hint of dried fruit, and remains youthfully fruity and luscious on the palate, perfect to drink for any occasion.
