Rowan's Creek Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Rowan’s Creek is a small batch, high-rye bourbon from Willett Distillery, named for the creek that runs through the distillery. (The creek itself was named for John Rowan, a 19th century Kentucky statesman whose family home in Bardstown was the inspiration for the song, “My Old Kentucky Home”.) Rowan’s Creek is aged for 12 years and bottled at 100.1 proof (50.05% ABV). Deep amber in the glass, it delivers a spicy nose with a minty, herbal character, orange peel, cherries, and fresh cut oak. On the palate it is velvety, with classic bourbon caramel sweetness, cherry flavors, hints of baking spice and maple, and touches of pepper and oak. A dry, spicy, woody finish with a suggestion of citrus lingers in between sips.
