In 1989, Burgundians Jacques Seysses (founder of Domaine Dujac), and Aubert de Villaine (of Domaine de la Romanée Conti), decided to join forces in search of great new vineyards, and along with their friend, Michel Macaux, chose to focus on the winegrowing potential of southern France. They came upon the Domaine du Logis de Nans, located in the Var, northeast of Marseilles. Calling upon their Burgundian philosophy that great wines start in the vineyard, they focused heavily on the revitalization and care of their vines, which remain a priority today. Triennes enjoys a cool microclimate which produces wines of particular freshness and elegance. 100% viognier, this certified organic wine was fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks to maintain its refreshing character. Lavish layers of apricot, lavender honey, and honeysuckle provide a deft balance between aromatic richness and lively acidity, supported by a streak of minerality that lends a distinctive elegance. Certified organic, vegan.
