August 4, 2023 | outstanding & original Oregon wines

You've tasted California and become acquainted with New York pours made in our backyard.
It's time to get to know Oregon.

America's fifth largest wine producer, Oregon has A LOT going on.

Oregon residents have been growing grapes and making wine since before the place achieved statehood(!), however, it's within just the last couple decades that its industry has really come into itself.

Now carved into 23 American Viticulture Areas (AVAs) further divided into smaller nested AVAs, the state is home to a whopping 900 wineries and more than 500 tasting rooms, and has nearly 40,000 acres under vine. Although pinot noir dominates production statewide, Oregon grows at least 71 other varieties, and across the board, has become a leader in sustainable farming, with almost 50% of vineyards certified sustainable--the most of any major winegrowing region in the country.

At today's tasting, we'll be exploring a bit of all that via just three bottlings. How? Well, you'll just have to stop by to find out!
